GameStop Closes U.S. Pre-Order Campaign for Sony's PS3

GRAPEVINE, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 11, 2006--GameStop Corp. (NYSE:GME) (NYSE:GME.B), the world's largest video game and entertainment software retailer, closed its U.S. in-store, pre-order campaign for Sony's PlayStation 3 on Tuesday, October 10, 2006, the same day it began.

While allocations from Sony have not been communicated, GameStop launched the campaign earlier this week through an electronic newsletter in response to consumer excitement for the highly-anticipated console.
